Dr. Carey Incledon ("Dr. Carey") is an immensely compassionate clinical psychologist who is dedicated to the well-being of her clients. She specializes in treating issues related to depression, anxiety, traumatic stress (e.g., PTSD, issues related to childhood abuse), grief and loss, life transitions, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Credentials
Dr. Carey earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with honors for research excellence from Pepperdine University's American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral program. In addition, she completed a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry as the Outstanding Graduate of the School of Natural Sciences at California State University, Long Beach.
Dr. Carey’s many years of clinical experience include completion of an APA-accredited doctoral internship at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services in Inglewood, as well as providing psychotherapy and/or formal assessment services to Curry Psychology Group in Newport Beach, the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, Family Service in Long Beach, Pepperdine Community Counseling Center in Irvine, and Santa Margarita Solutions Center in Rancho Santa Margarita. She was honored as Volunteer of the Year for her work with the Human Options domestic abuse emergency shelter in Orange County.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Carey also served as an adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University (Los Angeles) and the University of the West (Rosemead), teaching graduate-level courses on various topics, including trauma and resiliency, group psychotherapy, lifespan development & aging, and dissertation research.

Dr. Carey was the 2020 President of the Orange County Psychological Association in California, for which she was granted the Orange PSI Award for Outstanding Leadership. She is also a member of the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists, the California Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, and the distinguished National Registry of Health Service Providers.

She specializes in treating issues related to depression, anxiety, traumatic stress (e.g., PTSD, issues related to childhood abuse), grief and loss, life transitions, and relationships, among others.
She is a Certified Gottman Therapist and has advanced training in the use of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapies, and group therapies. She is especially gifted in helping those struggling with depression and anxiety.
